This workshop will provide an overview of different hydrant and valve manufacturers and give information on maintenance methods and recommendations.
Find out the dos and don’ts of hydrant and valve maintenance and some tricks of the trade to help make your hydrant and valve maintenance a little easier. Learn the correct way the manufacturers’ recommend maintenance be performed.
The basics of how fire hydrants work, their different parts, basic operating features, and breakdown tips will be demonstrated. Inspection, installation, and testing guidance will be given.
Also covered will be unidirectional flushing, capacity testing, valve exercising, other maintenance items along with the newest tech.
