Emerging Contaminant Short Course at Marquette University

A short course on “Emerging Contaminants in Water and Wastewater” will be held October 21-22, 2014 at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Information will be presented regarding treatment of emerging contaminants in drinking water, wastewater, and biosolids; regulations; risk communication with the public; contaminant fate in the environment; non-traditional contaminants including viruses; and water reuse applications. This year’s speakers include Dr. Tanja Rauch-Williams (Senior Technologist at Carollo Engineers, Inc.), Kevin Shafer (Executive Director, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District), Octavia Conerly (Point person for Emerging Contaminants at EPA, Office of Water), and more.
