IL AWWA – Energy Savings through Valve Selection

November 29, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Illinois Section AWWA is hosting a seminar on Energy Savings through Valve Selection.  This seminar will discuss and demonstrate various valve types, their characteristics, their flow coefficients, and how these factors impact energy costs.  Live hands-on test loop demonstrations of the various types of valves will occur onsite and actual real-time data feedback specific to the various types of valves tested will be presented.  An essential element in designing a system is selecting the proper valve which can have a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the system.  Selecting the proper valve will reduce energy costs while adding to the performance of your system.

The training will begin at 8:00 am (CST) and will conclude by 12:00 pm (CST).  Engineering PDHs and Water CEUs will be offered.  Continental breakfast will be included.  An optional non-credit tour and lunch will also be provided.

For registration and full seminar description and cost, please visit the Illinois Section website:
