Bonna Burns Excellence in Administration Award

Bonna Burns was a long-time employee of Stucker Fork Water Utility / Conservancy.  During her tenure there she constantly showed her dedication to not only the Utility, but also to the water industry as a whole.

Those that had the privilege of working with Bonna describe her as a very fine lady.  She treated her co-workers like family, both on a professional and personal level.  Mostly self taught, Bonna had honed her skills thru close interaction with accounting firms, law firms, and the State Board of Accounts.

Bonna also lived her commitment to the water industry by volunteering her time and talents to the Indiana Rural Water Association.  Whether it was assisting with registration at IRWA conferences, or helping to maintain IRWA’s books, Bonna was always willing to give of herself.

The Bonna Burns Bookkeeper of the Year Award is presented in that spirit of dedication and giving that Bonna personified.  The recipients of this award not only provide good technical expertise to their utility, but also give of themselves to their utility, their community, and to the water industry.

If this sounds familiar to you, please consider nominating the worthy individual you know for this award.
