Submit Your Presentation for Review Prior to Conference

Presentation Submittal Guidelines

Thank you for submitting your abstract for consideration - Congrats on being placed on the technical program for the conference!

We are offering this portal to collect your Power Point file for review prior to conference.  Please provide your presentation, or a pdf copy, to Indiana AWWA by Friday, November 21 for review. Presentations are reviewed for commercial content, slide legibility and evaluating if the presentation matches the time allowed. Consider the following points as you prepare your presentation:

  • Keep the company logo to the first and last slide;
  • Make it educational, not a commercial;
  • The rooms are long and narrow. Slide design for distant viewers is important to consider.
    • Keep fonts to at least 30 point, 24 in minor occurrences, never 20 or less
    • Use dark letters on light background or light letters on dark background for best visibility
    • Avoid reds and greens for color blind people
    • Avoid backgrounds that fade from dark to light or light to dark.
  • Use more slides over using small fonts;
  • Use pictures and graphics over text where possible;
  • Verify video clips will work prior to getting to the show;
  • Estimate 1 slide per minute of presentation.
  • File size is limited to 20M for each file, reach out if you need share a larger file.  You may upload multiple files at 20M each.

Please bring your presentation on a flash drive for backup. Please advise if you need any special accommodation or audio visual needs in the comment box provided.  Thank you - the Indiana Section Technical Program Committee
