POSITION: Executive Director RATE: $112,000.00 annually
DEPARTMENT: Water & Sewer Utility FULL TIME: Exempt (Salary)

Duties: The primary function of the Utility Director is to plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Water and Sewer Department. This position is responsible for long-range planning and to oversee operations, maintenance, engineering, finances, regulatory compliance, and budget preparation for the Utility. Responsible for identification, implementation, and success of a continuous improvement and increased productivity program within the Utility. Works well and closely with board members and staff and adept at intergovernmental and media relations.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in civil, environmental, or sanitary engineering, or business administration is required. Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in management, administration, and supervision in Public Works, Engineering, and/or Utilities Management including five (5) years in a supervisory capacity. A Master’s degree in Business or Public Administration and registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana are preferred. Any combination of training, education and experience that provides the knowledge skills and ability to perform the functions of this position will be considered.
