7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
The Utility Specialist position has two primary roles which are to effectively read meters and install and maintain the devices that are
described in the Key Accountabilties and to do it safely.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for all aspects of meter service including, but not limited to meter reading, repair, installation, removal, and testing as described in more detail below. This includes reading assigned meter routes, loading and unloading meter reading routes, installing meters that are less than 2 inches and maintaining them, changing out unitized measuring elements, flushing of hydrants and working on the distribution valve program, cleaning, maintaining, and organizing work area, assigned vehicle and any other duties as assigned by management.
Experience/Education
1-2 years working experience in the industry is preferred.
High school Diploma or equivalent
