The Evansville Water & Sewer Utility is seeking a Deputy Director Engineering Services (Job No. FT-17-80).
Rate of Pay: Up to $110,000 annually
Responsible for engineering services related to: Review, modification, and approval of engineering plans related to private development of water and sewer services within EWSU;s service area. Facility asset planning related to life cycle asset management of EWSU assets (wastewater treatment plants, water filtration plant, sewer collection system, water distribution system, water storage facilities, lift stations, etc.). Capacity Management Operations and Maintenance Plan projects related to sewer collection system cleaning and inspections as required by the Consent Decree. Information Technologies and systems needed for documentation, data analysis, reporting or operational needs including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), work order systems, engineering related webpages, document storage, computer maintenance management systems, etc. Providing water and sewer superintendents in forecasting, system analysis and planning, capital budgeting and budget management, maintenance, work order management, etc.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, and five (5) or more years o post-collegiate experience involving engineering and operations. Experience in a position with management and supervisory responsibilities preferred. Registration as a PE in the State of Indiana. Ability to communicate effectively with work groups, employees, customers, consultants, and contractors. Knowledge of engineering principles and practices as applied to the Utility systems and of local, state, and federal laws, rules and regulations. Ability to conduct research and analyses and to prepare reports and presentations. Ability to operate standard equipment and tools and modern office equipment. Familiar with cost effective purchasing of equipment, supplies and materials. Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle.
