Exemplary Wellhead Protection Award |
| To recognize water systems, which have developed and are implementing exemplary wellhead protection programs. The public water supply system must have demonstrated the true spirit of wellhead protection by working cooperatively with local planning teams to incorporate community involvement in the development of their wellhead protection plans. The public water supply system must have exhibited diligent efforts to involve the community and coordinate with the Indiana Wellhead Protection Program and have obtained the support and nomination of IDEM for this award. Due to the vast number of Wellhead Protection Programs submitted it was decided that there would be two Community PWS eligible from each category; large, medium, and small. The 2003 Exemplary Wellhead Protection Award winners are: Indianapolis Water Company Indiana-American Water Company Terre Haute Operations Brown County Water Utility Berne Water Department Flora Water Works Reo Water Corporation |
